COMPANY QUESTIONS

Q: HOW OLD MUST MY SON OR DAUGHTER BE BEFORE THEY CAN BEGIN A WWSP PROGRAM?

A: All WWSP programs are both leveled and age-appropriate, so you can start some of our programs at the age of 8 years old. Many parents have reservations and justified concerns over their children becoming involved in exercise programs. Old ideas regarding exercise training suggested that it was inappropriate and counterproductive to the regular development of children. New research and experience, however has demonstrated that it is incredibly valuable and important to expose children to appropriate exercise at a young age, to promote the overall concept, teach and educate them about health and fitness, and to develop the exercise habit early. Our youth programming series is designed with the 8-12 year old in mind, rooted in safe, bodyweight movements that are appropriate for their age and stage. These workouts are also designed according to all NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) guidelines regarding youth exercise, to further contribute to the safety and effectiveness of the program.

Q: HOW DO YOU COMPARE TO A REGULAR, FACE-TO-FACE, PERSONAL TRAINER?

A: As an online training site, we recognize that we hold a new and unique place in the growing sports training world. Face-to-face coaching at these centers, retail-based gyms, and personal trainers have all been the traditional routes to enhanced performance, and will always remain a viable option. With these conventional methods, however, come expensive rates… sometimes as high as $100 to $200 per session (Oh My!!). We feel, however, that with the background and experience of WWSP President Jesse Wright behind the programming, our concept of DAI (Distanced Athlete Instruction), and your internal motivation to improve yourself in every single training session, we can set you up for the same level of improvement at a much more affordable rate (as low as $0.99 cents a workout!!). Many times, Personal Trainers turn into rep counters and great conversationalists to pass the time in between sets… and it is the clients that end up paying for these “training wastes of time!” With WWSP, you receive all of the components of a top-notch sports training program, without having to pay for the excess!

Q: HOW DO I KNOW IF AN ONLINE TRAINING PROGRAM IS RIGHT FOR ME?

A: First off, we always like to educate our potential clients on our new and unique place in the sports training world. We have created a mode of exercise that is equal to a face-to-face personal trainer in every aspect but one… the actual “face-to-face.” The program-design, the demonstration, the follow-up and correction, and even the motivation that people pay personal trainers for, are all a part of the WWSP experience. With this in mind, our concept means that you receive incredibly high level training plans at significantly reduced rates.

The ideal “candidates” for online training programs are those that probably have participated in some level of exercise at a point prior to enrolling. They already feel somewhat comfortable in an exercise environment, but are looking for the right way to train. They do not need the instant contact with a trainer, nor do they desire to pay the high-cost of personal training, but do want a professionally-designed program to help them reach their goals. In addition, these candidates will also have access to a minimal amount of equipment, either with a membership to a local gym, through their high school, or within their home.

Q: YOUR COMPANY NAME SAYS "SPORTS PERFORMANCE." DO YOU HAVE PROGRAMS FOR THE NON-ATHLETE (WEIGHT-LOSS, TONING, FAT BURNING, ETC) AS WELL?

A: Absolutely, yes! It is true, we specialize in programming to enhance all aspects of athleticism, in order to improve overall sports performance. In addition to this, check out our Ultimate Fitness plans to find some of the most creative and effective workouts for weight-loss, toning, cardio-vascular system improvement, and general health and fitness as well. We would like to see each and every one of our clients to reach all of their goals, whether in the sports world, or the general fitness world!


Q: WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I HAVE QUESTIONS REGARDING MY TRAINING PROGRAM?

A: We are as available for questions as you want us to be. We have numerous programs available, all with different levels of access to your “World Wide Coach.” All programs involve email access with your coach, while other options have telephone, text message, and instant message availability as well. Ultimately, we always want you to feel comfortable with all of the details of your program, so it is our goal to answer each and every one of your questions as best as possible.

Q: DO YOU HAVE PROGRAMS FOR NUTRITION AS WELL?

A: Absolutely! Along with aligning with FitnessGenerator.com, WWSP has also partnered with MySportsNutritionist.com, to be able to give you simple to understand, safe, and affordable nutrition programs. No need to hire a dietician, as this program was designed by one…. and we give you your program for just pennies a day! You won’t need to guess at which foods will give you the correct amount of carbs or protein relative to your body type and goals, as we will provide all of that information for you! Q: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOUR SPORTS PERFORMANCE AND ULTIMATE FITNESS PLANS, AND WHY ARE THE PRICED DIFFERENTLY?

A: Our Sports Performance programming is geared towards improving overall athleticism of the competitive athlete, from the Middle-School age through Professional level. When we design programs, then, this involves plans for strength, speed, agility, core strength, foot-speed, first-step quickness, and many other athletic variables. These programs are more involved than our Ultimate Fitness plans, for the individual that is looking to improve their health, fitness, appearance, or all three. This is the reason behind the difference in price. This is not to say that the SP plans are better than the UF plans, just specific to different goals.

Q: I HAVE NEVER BEEN INVOLVED IN A STRUCTURED EXERCISE PROGRAM BEFORE. WHAT STEPS CAN I TAKE TO ENSURE I AM DOING THINGS THE RIGHT WAY?

A: This is the question that we hear the most from beginners in the training world, especially beginners into the online training world. Whether you are involved in one of our sports training packages or in one of our general fitness programs, we would like all of the programs that we design for you to be as safe and as effective as possible. Upon enrollment into all of our packages, you first receive your “WWSP Welcome Packet”. With this packet, we have developed one of the most comprehensive and detailed manuals to educate and orient all new clients into the basics of exercise, training, and health. It answers every question before you ask it, and is intended to ensure a positive initial experience with us, (AND EXERCISE!), upon sign-up. You will be instructed on general training concepts in every aspect of athleticism, how to maximize your time in the weightroom, new concepts in warming up, and numerous other cutting edge information.

In addition to the detailed packet that each new client receives, our program design methods, featuring FitnessGenerator technology, provides the most accurate visual examples available online, backed up by detailed word descriptions of every exercise in your program. You can be assured that you will know the correct form and technique of each and every exercise prescribed for you!

Q: CAN I PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM WITH MY SON OR DAUGHTER?

A: Definitely! In fact, with our programming for children and adolescents, we encourage that the parents become directly involved. It is a great way to spend time with your children and you get in great shape in the process! You could use the training program designed for him or her, or sign up for a personalized program, specific to your own goals. Either way, you both win!



Q: I HEAR A LOT ABOUT THE "CORE" THESE DAYS? WHAT IS IT EXACTLY, AND DO YOU HAVE PROGRAMS FOR THIS?

A: The term “Core” is a popular term in the sports training and fitness worlds these days. It refers to the area from just below the chest to just above the knees, and involves the muscles of your abdominals, sides, low back, and hips. It is arguably the most important part of an athlete’s structure. Many of the major muscles of your shoulders, arms, and legs are attached to the pelvic bones and / or your spine, or your body’s core. First and foremost, if your core is well trained and strong, you are less likely to be injured in training and in competition. In addition, many sport skills necessitate the transfer of power from your lower body to your upper body. If your core musculature is well conditioned, you will realize optimal transfer of this energy when you sprint, twist, lift, jump, throw, and perform other movements in your sport.

To answer the second part of your question, we have the best core programs available online! These programs have been an integral part of the training plans of hundreds of Division I and Professional athletes, and are now available to each and every one of our online clients.
